Planning Your Visit
The David Ireland House at 500 Capp Street, located in San Francisco’s Mission District and widely celebrated as one of the West Coast’s finest examples of a home that was transformed into an environmental artwork, sits on the corner of 20th Street and Capp Street.
The House requires one flight of stairs. An elevator is available, though accessing the second floor requires a wheelchair transfer. For accessibility questions or assistance, email visit@500cappstreet.org
Visitor Guidelines
-Please refrain from touching the works and objects
-Visitors are asked to check large bags prior to the start of a tour
-All devices must be silenced during the tour
-Please wear soft-soled shoes to protect the floors in The House
-We welcome well-behaved service animals
