This Saturday April 11th from 6-9pm, join us for the opening of Amitié, a dual-person exhibition featuring works by Leonie Guyer and Joyce Burnstein curated by Nancy Nguyen. Guyer and Burnstein first met at SFAI over forty years ago—Guyer was brought to the house during Tony Labat’s grad seminar—and they both have been cultivating a relationship with each other and with David Ireland ever since. This is their first show together in thirty years, and it is extra special that it takes place in this house. Guyer and Burstein recollected four decades of memories of the house, restoring certain works, furniture, and fixtures, to their original places. We look forward to celebrating with you
