Nancy Nguyen is an artist based in Berkeley, California. Her painting practice responds to things that seem to arrive on their own. Animals and happenings are rooted in fate and unsettle meaning. These encounters become connections that guide her work. She received a BFA from San Jose State University.

Beyond her studio practice, she enjoys hiking, basking in the sun, petting dogs, and taking time to reflect on the predicament of suffering. Currently assisting with the estate of artists Leo Valledor and Carlos Villa, Nguyen also has four years of loan processing experience, and has worked across various educational municipalities, where she developed curriculums for art programs in the Cupertino school district and has led large scale public art projects, overseeing contractors, fabrication, installation, and public compliance. Now at 500 Capp Street, she manages the accounting and leads event coordination and communications.
