Last week we profiled our conservation team from ARG Conservation Services. They have done an amazing job preserving the interior and exterior of the original house. However, when it comes to the new elements being brought to the property, the 500 Capp Street Foundation is working with Jensen Architects.
Jensen Architects are passionate about creating buildings and environments that enrich the experiences of organizations and individuals. With their wide-ranging portfolio— from SFMOMA’s Rooftop Garden to the Golden Gate Bridge Pavillion —is underpinned by an abiding interest in collectively solving design challenges through research, unconventional thinking, and a focus on craft. With such an extensive portfolio, and a unique collaborative process, Jensen was the ideal fit for the project. With their innovative designs they have been able to capture the spirit of 500 Capp Street, David Ireland, and the Mission District, and combined it seamlessly with the needs of the Foundation.
As the completion of the new concrete foundation on the horizon, we look forward to the next phase as the new terrace and multi-functional space Jensen designed comes to fruition.
